TECHNICAL PRACTICE

Technology, experience and applied innovation.

Technical leadership, building systems and digital product work, grounded in how places actually operate.

PROFILE

A technical practice built on curiosity

I am an Industrial Electronics and Electrical Technician from Argentina. Today I am based in the Heidelberg region, where my work connects hands-on technical knowledge with the demands of a complex hospitality operation.

At Staycity Heidelberg, I progressed from technical leadership into the Maintenance Manager role. My remit brings together building services, preventive planning, team coordination and the day-to-day judgment that keeps a property operating.

APPROACH

Maintenance begins with evidence

I do not see maintenance as a sequence of repairs. The work begins with understanding how an installation behaves, tracing a fault to its cause and using observations, technical records and operating data to decide what should happen next.

Where it is technically sound, I prefer restoring a mechanism or component over replacing an entire assembly. The aim is reliable operation, clear records and sensible use of time and resources.

FIELD OF WORK

The systems behind a building

My work spans the infrastructure, controls and operating routines that make a building function.

01

Building services & controls

Electrical and electronic installations; HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and hot water; BMS/GLT and SAUTER supervision; BACnet, automation, access control, fire safety and connected sensors.

02

Maintenance & technical assurance

Preventive and corrective work, fault diagnosis, technical records, regulatory inspections and coordination with specialist providers.

03

Performance, energy & operations

Energy and water monitoring, operating trends, alarm follow-up, cost analysis and the use of technical data to make everyday decisions more informed.

PRACTICE & EXPERIMENT

Innovation starts with a real constraint

Across technical operations and personal projects, I look for ways to make systems easier to understand and work easier to follow.

Repairing mechanisms and existing equipment can avoid replacing complete assemblies when a focused technical solution is sound.

Sensors and system data can bring alarms, consumption and historical behavior into a clearer operational picture.

Personal experiments include the concept of a Raspberry Pi car display reading CAN data, alongside applied electronics and AI-assisted development.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

TinyFix

TinyFix began with a practical premise: digital tools should make work easier to manage, not add another layer of complexity. Developed with Valentino Donatini, the platform brings maintenance, operations, automation and technical information into a clearer working environment.

Conceived and developed by Leandro & Valentino Donatini.
